 Column Lock Problem Fix

The Emulator is an easy fix to a very common issue with Steering Column Lock. It works by replacing original ESL signal. In case of a locked SCL, it is required to physically remove it from the vehicle. The emulator with simulate the electronic signal of SCL, enabling the car to start.

Some fault codes associated with the problem:

A22449 – The electronic ignition lock has a malfunction.  There is an internal electrical fault

A25407 – The electric steering lock has a malfunction. There is a mechanical fault

A25408 – The electric steering lock malfunction. There is a signal fault or the message is faulty

A25409 – The electric steering lock has a malfunction. There is a component fault 

A25464 – The electric steering lock has a malfunction. There is an implausible signal 

  • Emulates the ELV/ESL (steering lock module)

What is ELV / ESL?

    It is an electronic steering lock which is powered by a motor. At times, it malfunctions but you can use our emulator instead. 

    If you are facing any of the issues mentioned below then it means your ELV/ESL needs to be replaced.

  •  Car won’t start.
  •  Dashboard lights wont turn on
  •  Steering wheel can’t be unlocked
  •  Auto parts won't respond when the ignition is switched on
  •  Unable to turn the key in the ignition
  •  The steering remains locked with the key in the ignition 
  •  The ignition key turns, but no lights on the dash
  •  The steering Lock is OFF with no key in the ignition

Step by Step Installation:

  1. Unplug the Elv Wire from the Car Steering Lock Unit
  2. If Vehicle Steering Lock Is in Lock Mode Steering Lock Must Be Removed
  3. Calculate Mercedes Eis Password Using Mercedes Key Programmer
  4. Mercedes Esl Emulator Programming Must Be Done Using Mercedes Key Programming Devicsuch as Abrites AVDI, Xhorse VVDI MB, Autel IM608, etc.
  5. Connect the Mercedes Elv Emulator to the Car and Start the Car.
